We do a lot of work

That the soil
Stays strong and healthy

We love to grow
On rotting trees

We decompose!
And the earth knows
We do this to make room for new life
Look around for us
In a garden or two

Or catch us on a stump
We often look real plump
But remember some things
Don’t put us in your mouth
Or kick us around
We’re just trying to make the season’s shine
